My stay at Naksel was mostly lovely, with amazing views and a tranquil setting. but a negative experience at checkout really soured my impression. While the rooms were spacious and well-appointed with a heated bathroom, the service interaction I had felt unprofessional. Overall, I loved the accommodations and surroundings, but that final experience tarnished what should have been a perfect trip.

The room was spacious with a beautiful terrace and a fantastic view that made mornings good. I appreciated the heated bathroom, perfect for chilling nights.
Service

Most staff displayed kindness, but my checkout experience with the manager was unpleasant. I felt accused of something I didn't do, which was disappointing.

Positioned on a hillside, the hotel offered stunning views and a peaceful environment. The location being out of town added to the resort's charm.
Dining

I enjoyed the food at the hotel, especially a delicious fish and chips. Buffets usually don't impress me, but the food here was hot and satisfying, which was a pleasant surprise.

The spa offered unique experiences like the hot stone bath, though I didn't have time to indulge. The hotel also provided dry cleaning services, which was convenient.

My stay at Naksel Boutique Hotel & Spa was a good mix of stunning views and attentive service, though there were a few downsides. The ambiance was perfect for relaxation, particularly with the cozy spa treatments, but the room could have used some upkeep. Overall, it was a joyful experience, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Bhutan.

Rooms

The room was spacious and had floor-to-ceiling glass walls that offered amazing views of the surrounding mountains. However, it was in need of some repairs and lacked convenient power outlets for the coffee machine.

The staff were incredibly warm and courteous, always available to assist and ensure a pleasant stay.

Nestled on a hillside next to a forest, the location was serene and provided stunning vistas, especially of the Tiger Cave temple nearby.

The food, while buffet-style, was excellently prepared and offered a nice variety. I especially enjoyed the breakfast options, which were among the best I had during my trip.

My stay at Naksel Boutique Hotel & Spa was a mixed experience. The magnificent views, especially of Tiger's Nest from my room, were a highlight. However, the location was a challenge with a bumpy road leading to the hotel, and the food options were hit or miss. Overall, the atmosphere was relaxing, but the service left something to be desired.

Rooms

My room was large with a lovely balcony, and I appreciated the radiant heat. it kept the bathroom toasty while the main area was cooler for sleeping.
Service

While I found the staff mostly friendly, the check-in process was slow. I experienced a long wait which was frustrating after a long journey.
Location

The hotel is indeed off the main road and up a hill, which made for a scenic retreat. but the journey can be a bit rough, especially at night.
Dining

The food was a bit of a mixed bag. I particularly enjoyed the fish and chips one night, but some breakfasts were disappointing with raw pancakes and over-salted eggs.

Although I didn't use the spa, I heard great things from others. it seemed like a nice touch to the overall experience.

Staying at Naksel Boutique Hotel & Spa was quite the experience. The beautiful views of the mountains and valley were amazing, but the journey to get there was a bit challenging. While my cottage was spacious and lovely, there were some minor service issues that took away from the overall enjoyment.

Rooms

I enjoyed a spacious chalet that had a wonderful outdoor seating area. The interiors were really nice, though I did find the plumbing a bit off with a slow drain in the bath.
Service
6.0
The staff were earnest and polite, but they were a bit slow in their work. For example, fixing my bathroom handle took quite a while.
Location

Set on a hillside, the hotel offers a stunning view of the Paro valley. However, the narrow and winding road leading up can be a bit daunting.
Dining
7.0
The restaurant had a mixed menu; while I found the food disappointing on the first night, dinner was quite good on the second. It felt like the dining experience was a bit inconsistent.
Facilities

The spa provided a good experience; I particularly enjoyed the hot stone bath. However, I did find myself feeling breathless during the treatment.

5.8/10

I enjoyed my stay overall, with the beautiful surroundings and tranquil atmosphere being major highlights. However, there were a few drawbacks, such as some service inconsistencies and a less-than-stellar dining experience. Despite these issues, the scenic views truly made my time there nice.

Rooms
6.0
The room I had was spacious and offered amazing views, but the mattress was a bit too soft for my liking, resulting in some uncomfortable mornings. Also, the absence of adequate lighting in the corners was frustrating, especially while reading.
Service
6.0
While the staff was present, they often seemed confused and the service was not as smooth as one would hope, particularly during busy meal times.
Location
10.0
The location on the hillside was serene, surrounded by dense trees and nature which added to the peaceful ambiance. It’s a bit out of town, but that actually contributed to its charm.
Dining
6.0
I didn't find the dining options very satisfying. The breakfast was quite limited and the evening buffet felt overpriced for the quality offered.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel did offer useful facilities like dry cleaning, though that’s standard for most hotels. I was hoping for more impressive amenities given its setting.
